This is a fun test I did. I ‘filmed’ it with a digital stills camera taking a picture about 3 times a second. I then processed the thousands of frames to make them look like they were photographed with a tilt-shift lens. The effect this has is that it appears like a stop-motion animation of a miniature set.

I made this short animation for the 2009 season finale of ‘Mr. Right’, an item in the very popular Dutch children’s programme ‘Schooltv-Weekjournaal’. In it, the host, called ‘Mr. Right’ talks about how to make your own comics in an easy way for kids to understand. At the end he’s magically transformed into an animated version of himself.
