This was created for a website called DVD.nl that I used to write for. They had a booth at the Dutch HCC Convention in November 2003. Along with a few HDTV demos this animation was playing on a big LCD display. It is made up out of about 50 clips from old and new movies to show the audience the plethora of reviews to be found at DVD.nl”s website.

Water effects had a special place in my heart when I created this test. It was done mainly as a showcase for a LEGO CAD program I was trying out. The water effects were animated in a regular 3D software package that I imported the boat model into. This turned out rather well, I still like watching it.

Before abandoning this project because of technical limits at the time, I created this teaser trailer for it. It was going to be called ‘One of a Kind’ and the eyes of the character (Sprout) you see in the trailer are still used to this day in the ZeroDown animation logo. Maybe I’ll pick this project up again some day… but for now enjoy this trailer.
